BOULDER, Colo.  (February
1, 2019) –
The Boulder
International Film Festival (BIFF) is excited to announce the return of its
widely popular CineCHEF culinary competition with this year’s theme
highlighting “BadAss Women Chefs: Boulder vs. Denver.” CineCHEF is a BIFF
signature event that challenges nationally-recognized chefs on the Front Range
to create film-inspired dishes based on a movie theme.

This year’s first
ever ALL female badass lineup features culinary stars from acclaimed
restaurants in Boulder and Denver, including Bravo Top Chef Masters participant Jennifer Jasinski, chef/owner of five Denver hotspots, including
the well-known Rioja Restaurant; Corina
Johnson
from Boulder’s very own The Kitchen; Liliana Myers from Denver RINO’s Safta located in The Source Hotel;
Jessica
Emich
 from long-time Boulder favorite
Shine Restaurant & Potion Bar; Linda Hampsten Fox from Denver’s The Bindery;
Sheila Lucero of the popular Jax Fish
House and Oyster Bar in Boulder/Denver; Top Chef top competitor Carrie Baird from Denver’s Bar Dough;
and 75-year old dynamo Chef Anna Zoe
from Boulder’s Zoe Ma Ma. To round out the eating extravaganza, the Festival
will feature desserts by Shamane Simons

New this year, Francis Ford Coppola Winery will introduce
its new collection of Great Women Spirits, branded after trailblazing badass
women in history. The line-up includes Maria

Ten-year-old Flynn McGarry transforms his living room
into a supper club, using his classmates as line cooks and serving a tasting
menu foraged from his neighbors’ backyards. With sudden fame, Flynn outgrows
his bedroom kitchen and mother’s camera, and sets out to challenge the
hierarchy of the culinary world. Before he was 16 years old, he had staged in
top restaurants in Los Angeles, New York, and Europe. Director Cameron Yates
creates a collage of Flynn’s singular one-of-a-kind childhood, and the
result is a fascinating portrait of a young star’s rise as seen from the
inside.
