Volunteer Benefits 2024

BIFF’s success depends on our fun-loving and hardworking volunteers. Here we’ve outlined some of the fun benefits of volunteering for the Boulder International Film Festival.

Register to Volunteer for BIFF (Volunteer Registration is for the BIFF 2024 Season is now closed)
You can register to be a BIFF Silver Level Volunteer by creating a BIFF Shiftboard account (Registration for BIFF 2024 is now closed) or for returning volunteers by updating your current shiftboard account (Registration for BIFF 2024 is now closed). Silver Volunteer Level

10+ Hours Worked Before or During the Festival

Benefits:
– Two film vouchers (space available basis; does not include opening and closing night or special events)
– Access to 2 virtual films post-BIFF (virtual film access is limited to specific films to-be-announced post festival)
– BIFF T-shirt, BIFF badge and access to any ongoing announced festival perks
– Access to additional free films and programs as announced closer to the festival
– Invitation to a Post-BIFF Volunteer Recognition Party (date still TBD)

Gold Level Volunteer

25+ Hours Worked Before or During the Festival

Benefits:
– Unlimited access to in-person films on a space-available basis. (does not include opening or closing night or special events)
– Entry in drawing for a minimum of 10 volunteers to attend the BIFF Noir party (if applicable based on the final BIFF 2024 event schedule)
– Access to 3 virtual films post-BIFF (virtual film access is limited to specific films to be announced post festival)
– BIFF T-shirt, BIFF badge and access to any ongoing announced festival perks
– Invitation to a Post-BIFF Volunteer Recognition Party (date still TBD)

Program Distribution Volunteer

Benefits for our Program Distribution Volunteer

Option 1: Deliver 8-24 program bundles (each bundle has 40 programs)

8 bundles – 1 film voucher
16 bundles – 2 film vouchers
24 bundles – 3 film vouchers
(Not included are the Silver Volunteer Benefits listed above, but you are eligible for these benefits if you work 10 additional shift hours for another team during the festival!)

Option 2: Deliver 32+ program bundles
Designated as BIFF Silver Volunteer, which includes, BIFF badge, two film vouchers, two virtual film passes, a BIFF t-shirt, other unannounced festival volunteer perks, an invite to the BIFF Volunteer Party and an opportunity to reach Gold Volunteer status if you work 15 additional shift hours during the Festival!

(Film vouchers can be redeemed on a space available basis and do not include opening and closing night or special events)

Festival Staff

50+ Hours Worked Before or During the Festival

Benefits:
– Priority access to unlimited in-person films on a space-available basis (does not include opening or closing night or special events)
– Entry into drawing for a minimum of 5 volunteers to attend the closing night film with a friend.
– Access to a wide range of virtual films post-BIFF (virtual film access is limited to specific films to be announced post festival)
– BIFF T-shirt, BIFF badge and access to any ongoing announced festival perks

NOTE: One hour of volunteer time will be accrued by attending the volunteer orientation.
