H. grew up on shores of Lake Erie; surrounded by cornfields, quaries, and ancient forests. At home, his father always had guitars and old blues records laying around for the pickin.
His first performance came during his sophomore year of high school. When he performed B.B. Kings “The Thrill is Gone” at the yearly talent show.
Influences include Son Volt, Lucero, Drive By Truckers, Steve Earl, Slobberbone, Willie Nelson, Whiskeytown and the Jayhawks.
