Action 4: Attend Events
THIS WEEKEND!
June 25 – 27 — FLOWER SPLASH Visit this temporary Boulder Strong tribute space created to house an installation of fresh flowers, donated by King Soopers, to honor the victims. Local artists from The Makerie and Fawns Leap developed the installation concept — a flower wave installation, which has been temporarily created on a 60’ stretch of fence on the west side of the King Soopers parking area. The community will be invited to naturally ‘dissolve’ the installation by taking a flower and giving it as a gift to a friend, loved one, neighbor or stranger. The intent of this gift is to acknowledge the ongoing support that has been demonstrated by the community throughout this tragedy. A photo reproduction of the flower wave will be installed on the temporary fence once the ‘dissolve’ is complete.
August 8 – SOBO SIDEWALK SOCIAL hosted by SoBo Rising– The Sidewalk Social will bring the South Boulder neighborhood together with music, food, and art. Sample from local restaurants, listen to local bands, or grab some chalk to contribute to some sidewalk art. SoBo Rising’s goal is to reinvigorate the Table Mesa Shopping Center area by hosting community building events to promote healing and reconnection.
