Teen Short Film Competition

Teen Short Film Competition

Every year, the Boulder International Film Festival opens our Teen Short Film Competition, which offers young filmmakers an opportunity to see their films shown on the big screen. This competition welcomes submissions from students around the world, ages 12-18, in a variety of genres: from comedy to drama, thriller to experimental, animated to documentary. There is a 6 minute limit to run time, but no limit to the amount of creativity you are welcome to include!

The 2026 Teen Short Film Competition is open NOW through February 26, 2026.

Nominees will be screened and winners announced at the Teen Short Film Competition Awards Ceremony on April 9, 2026.
