BIFF Staff and Gold Volunteer Roles for BIFF 2026:

BIFF’s success depends on our fun-loving and hardworking volunteers. BIFF Volunteer Staff and Gold Members take on larger festival leadership roles and gain a behind-the-scenes look at planning BIFF. BIFF Volunteer Staff and Gold Volunteers qualify for a wide range of volunteer benefits.

Available Gold Volunteer Roles for BIFF 2026 (25+ Hours):

Venues
Line Leaders for Boulder and Longmont

The BIFF Venues Gold Team works in our film venues throughout the festival. They are the friendly faces who organize people in lines, scan tickets and help manage flow in and out of our theaters. These volunteers must be comfortable leading a team of volunteers, serving in a customer-facing role and must attend trainings in the months/weeks before the festival as well as work multiple shifts during the festival.

Community Outreach Team Lead (Gold or Staff Role Depending on Hours Worked)
Do you love engaging with community groups and have knack/experience with community outreach and marketing? We are looking for a team lead to help us identify and inform key audiences about films that are of special interest to their community group, sports interest or line of work.

Staff roles require experience or expertise and a significant time commitment.

Available Staff Roles for BIFF 2026:

Moderator Coordinator
The Moderator Coordinator Volunteer works closely with the BIFF Director and Producer to create one-page moderator script templates for each of our 50-70 BIFF films. We are looking for a detail-oriented volunteer with strong communication and writing skills and good follow-through. This volunteer role requires roughly 20 hours per week (20 – 30 hours of time) from March 13 – April 12. During the festival, the Moderator Coordinator may also work with theater and stage managers as needed to make/communicate any last-minute schedule or script changes. Must be available for the entire festival of April 9-12. This role has lots of fun festival perks and is a great way to be involved in the nitty-gritty details of the festival!
