BIFF Staff and Gold Volunteer Roles for BIFF 2026:
BIFF’s success depends on our fun-loving and hardworking volunteers. BIFF Volunteer Staff and Gold Members take on larger festival leadership roles and gain a behind-the-scenes look at planning BIFF. BIFF Volunteer Staff and Gold Volunteers qualify for a wide range of volunteer benefits.
Available Gold Volunteer Roles for BIFF 2026 (25+ Hours):
Box Office – Comfortable teaching other volunteers, working in a customer-facing role, learning new technology and using laptops and ipads
Venues – Comfortable leading a team of volunteers and serving in a customer-facing role
Production – Have prior experience as a production manager able to carry 35-50lbs and comfortable directing other volunteers
Events – Must have prior event management experience (not all event managers will achieve Gold Status, but it’s still a fun gig!)
Assistant to the Merchandise Lead – Must be able to carry 25lbs, have an interest in/experience with merchandising and be available to work the entire festival. We are also hoping to find someone who can commit to future seasons.
BIFF Poster Distribution Lead/Assistant for Program Distribution – We are looking for a volunteer to lead our poster distribution effort and to assist with program distribution before the festival. This person needs to have some availability/flexibility during weekdays and weekends before the festival and must be able to lift 25 lbs. Some computer skills are also needed. We are also hoping to find someone who can learn the role and commit to future seasons. (This could be Gold or a Silver volunteer role, depending on hours worked.)
