The Tibetan Association of Colorado would like to suggest the following actions to help you get involved with the issues discussed in the film Tibet In Song:
- Educate your friends, relatives, and co-workers about Tibetan people and what is happening to their country.
- Encourage your Senators and Representatives to support issues relating to Tibet and the Dalai Lama.
- Support local Tibetan communities and organizations by attending their annual functions:
- Commemoration of March 10th Uprising Day on March 10th every year in front of the State Capital building
- World Tibet Day is celebrated every year in July in Boulder
- Make monetary contributions to Tibetan Association of Colorado, which is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization and strives to preserve Tibetan cultural heritage by organizing events and teaching the young
- Make monetary contributions to the International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) www.savetibet.org
- Travel to Tibet and India to see the Tibetan situation first hand. The Dalai Lama always encourages Tibetans and foreign supporters to go to Tibet to witness what is happening to his country and fellow Tibetans.
The Tibetan Association of Colorado (TAC) (www.coloradotibetans.org) organizes the following:
Watch movies like “Kundun” and “”Seven Years in Tibet”, which, like “Avatar”, tell stories of vanishing ancient people and their native land and natural resources being plundered. These movies about Tibet are not in 3-D, but the stories are real and happening now!
